2018-19 Results for A Level Maths:
A/A* - 21 students

2019-20
1 Offer for Mathematics at Oxford
1 Offer for Economics and Management at Oxford
1 Offer for Engineering at Cambridge

There I was, a teacher that wanted to empower my students trying to help every student I taught get an A* in A Level Maths. The thing is I am responsible for these students` futures and they trust me with it. The big problem was that one of my most hard working students got an A instead of an A*. This made me question my core belief that effort is all that is required to get an A* in A Level Maths.

Then, as if by chance, something amazing happened...I kept thinking about how my student had done lots of REVISION but still not managed to get the A*. I kept thinking about how REVISION is a WELL KNOWN word but LITTLE UNDERSTOOD!

Instantly it became crystal clear to me how to REVISION is not just one thing but actually made up of a number of interlinking processes, and because of this I saw what a vast majority of the students had been doing wrong all along.

My plan was to start by breaking the process of LEARNING into a logical step by step process. So I started researching the most effective methods of learning. But I didn’t stop there. I then tested the step by step process on students of all abilities and mathematical backgrounds. After that, I tweaked the process for the A Level Maths and taught my students how to REVISE PROPERLY.

Building on that success, I decided to introduce the process across the school I work for. I call it “The Exam Success Blueprint”. With THE Exam Success Blueprint I can now help anyone get an A* in A Level Maths in 2 years, no matter what their ability when they start with us!

And that`s why I`m so excited to share this with you so you can get these types of results too!

Availability: I am available weekday evenings and weekends.

Willing to travel: 50 miles

Experience: I will never forget the day I got my A Level Results and the tears of happiness in my parents` eyes - it has become my inspiration behind my decision to become a teacher. I want the same for all my students and their parents - a moment of pure happiness and pride.

My first experience teaching maths was September 2009 at my tutor`s tuition centre - more than a decade ago - and I have been tutoring ever since.

Having studied Actuarial Science at University I got my first graduate job as a Risk Management Analyst at Lloyds Banking Group. Many would have given their right arm for that job coming out of the credit crunch but it did not give me any satisfaction compared to tutoring and helping my students fulfil their dreams.

I decided to leave Banking and it`s riches and applied for the prestigious Teach First Graduate Programme which would enable me to become a teacher whilst learning on the job and fortunately made it through.

I have been a school teacher since 2013 working initially at in inner city secondary school for 2 years. I then moved onto one of the best Sixth Form Colleges in England (Sunday Times 2017 Sixth Form College of the Year) as an A Level Maths teacher and currently teach there.

Having taught students in the thousands I have developed my teaching to ensure I give students the best chance of fulfilling their potential.

I am good at building rapport and making students feel comfortable and confident in asking me questions. I have developed a number of ways of explaining the same thing so that students are never left unsure of what I have taught them. And to add to that I have also developed my bank of questions from which students practice for their exams - one of the key factors why my students do extremely well.

I keep parents in the loop of student progress and work ethic so that students are held accountable in good time instead of trying to make drastic changes at the last minute or with too little time left.

Overall - I believe I have the right motivation and experience to help students fulfil their potential. Sign up for a FREE trial and see for yourself!

Excellent tutor! He has really helped my daughter become more confident with maths. By explaining harder concepts thoroughly and making sure she understands everything, she feels like she is able to tackle the trickier questions. The lessons have always been fun, interactive and challenging.
