I am a 27 year old newly qualified teacher, with my specialism being in ESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and Literacy to students aged 14 years-old up to adult learners. I am a versatile, organised and approachable teacher, and I pride myself on using innovative teaching methods and activities. I have a strong appreciation for the way knowledge of the English language can broaden opportunities in today`s society. I like to tailor my teaching to my students needs, and strongly believe that students should have input in their individual learning journey. Whether students have specific examinations they would like to prepare for, or would like to improve their day-to-day conversational English, I will do my utmost to ensure they achieve there goals and reach their full potential.

Experience: I began my teaching career teaching English in a high school in Thailand to students aged between 11 and 19 years-old, where I worked for three years. During this time we covered all aspects of English including, grammar, conversational English and speaking, reading, writing, listening, debate, spelling and public speaking. Alongside my full time teaching at this time, I also taught as a private tutor both in small groups and one-to-one, with both school children, adults and local professionals.

After this I returned to England to complete my PGCE 14 + in English: ESOL and Literacy. My 120 hour placement was spent teaching at a local further education college, teaching functional skills English to students aged 16-19 years old, as well as adult apprentices. I also lead weekly ESOL provisions for small groups of students aged 16-19 years-old whom required extra help in this area.
