Currently, I am a first year medical student. In my A Levels I received 3 As in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. At GCSE, I have 7 A*s and 5 As. As a student, I regularly struggled with motivating myself and finding the correct techniques to ensure that I did as best as I could. For this reason, I understand the position that students can be put in when they are in a classroom where the teacher doesn`t focus on their individual needs.

Availability: After tutoring full time during my gap year, I have gained valuable experience and I know that in order for tuition to be successful, there must be a student centered approach as every one will learn most in their own way. I will be flexible and adapt to wherever the needs of the student are. I will also answer any questions you have during the week via email. Don`t worry if you`re struggling! I was one of those students too but with the correct techniques and motivation, there`s always room to do better and achieve more.

Experience:
During my school life, I struggled a lot with grades. Even if talent is present, it can be hard to have it show in the grades you are getting. However, once I learned to organise my time and simplify the content in the correct way, I quickly started to do better and enjoy my school life a lot more. My experience motivated me to go out and tutor other students in the same position as I was.

Whilst studying in sixth form, I mentored students in younger years. This taught me how to tailor lessons to every student`s individual needs in order to make full use of the lesson. Therefore, I send out an email prior to the lesson with a checklist to complete. This will help me make sure that all of the content we cover is content that is an issue for the student.
