Information about Samuel

At school I was both distracting and distracted I would certainly have been considered badly behaved by my teachers. However, I achieved good results and went on to study for a BA (hons) in English Literature and Creative Writing at Leeds University.

In recent years I have worked extensively within the business world as well as working with many national charity organisations. I am currently working towards becoming a qualified teacher.

My approach to teaching is bespoke and therefore depends entirely on the student. I insist on the opportunity to discuss learning goals, identify any specific issues and to get an impression of what methods will be most effective.

I specialise in the Arts and Humanities, including: English Lang, English Lit, History, Philosophy & Ethics, Religious Studies etc. However, I am very capable of tutoring in Business Studies, Science, Psychology and the like.

I also offer an essay writing / coursework workshop.

I will work at any level, I accept students based on individual circumstances (Key stage 1, Key stage 2, Key stage 3 and Key stage 4, GCSE, A Level and degree level).

Availability: I work and study from home so I am very flexible.

Willing to travel: 30 miles

Experience: I first discovered my knack for teaching at school, where I was often asked to proof read essays and give up my time to tutor. My proclivity for tutoring was further nurtured in my professional career where coaching and training became a large part of my daily output. I have since worked privately with a range of students, varying from secondary to university level (references available upon request).
