A retired but still active academic scientist, I have had many years experience in giving Private 1-1 tuition in Physics, Maths and Chemistry, up to A levels (GCE)/ Advanced Higher (SQA: Scotland)
I am also a STEM AMBASSADOR - helping with many outreach activities with STEMNET and the Institute of Physics
I am currently helping a primary school with their Junior Saltire project: wave-power conversion to electricity.
Availability: most days and evenings, including weekends

I would thoroughly recommend Philip. He tutored my son and made an immediate impact. Philip was punctual, to the point and identified learning gaps after one visit. Due to the government lock down and the halt to the Nat 5 exams we did not continue with the face to face tutoring.

Seems OK but profile said he was 7.3 miles away from us and that Philip would travel within 20 miles. He quit after 2 weeks saying the travelling was too much.
Tutors Response :
This (exceptional) feedback is fair enough - I had not anticipated the anxiety of travelling on Winter afternoons/evenings, either by bus (not very frequent) or car.
I will be need to be much more cautious about accepting "remote" bookings

We liked Philip very much, and though he`s only been to see our daughter once so far (to help with her Higher Maths), we will be asking him to come back.
