Hello,

I currently work in defense research in both the private and academic sectors and previously worked as a neurobiochemist for the NHS. I am studying for a PhD at Cranfield University so understand the pressures of academic work and the need for support in certain areas of science, after all, no one is an expert in everything, and we all need a bit of help sometimes. I myself required a tutor as a school boy, and therefore understand that many, if not most students need some extra assistance occasionally. In my experience science taught in schools can be formulaic and unimaginative with little scope for helping those that may struggle with a subject or concept. I aim to provide an alternative way or learning and retaining information so even the most complex scientific principles can be understood to a satisfactory level to pass exams or for university interviews.

I specialise in introducing scientific concepts to new or non-scientists and have guided a number students through basic principles to undergraduate level chemistry and biochemistry.
I have privately tutored students from 12 years old, through GCSE and A-levels to entrance examinations for secondary/private schools and through clearing for university.
