I am passionate about helping young people to achieve their potential. I want to share my enthusiasm for science, which I believe anyone can master given patience and the correct teaching methods. My lessons are engaging and relevant. I use examples from everyday life to explain difficult concepts and to enhance understanding. I plan lessons carefully beforehand and use a variety of teaching tools including powerpoint, videos, quizzes and worksheets. I have a PhD in Biochemistry and tutor biology at Primary, KS3, GCSE and A-Level.

Experience: GCSE and A`Level biology, both grade A. I went on to study biochemistry at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, before completing a PhD in Biochemistry in the University College London. I now work as application scientist for Cytiva with a specialty in protein purification.
I really enjoy teaching, I love seeing the moment where the student understands and realizes that it is not hard if you have the right teacher helping and guiding.
