Being a parent myself, I understand how difficult it can be just to sit down with your own children and get them to listen to you. This is where I can help...
With a patient, fun and engaging teaching style, I aim to get my learners to develop their critical thinking skills, increase their confidence in their Mathematical ability and make them progress seamlessly.
I communicate with parents/carers and keep you involved in their progress. With your support, I promise effective tuition and transfer of my endless passion and knowledge of the subject. In return you will notice results in a short amount of time.
Availability: Weekday evenings
Saturday mornings
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: Currently a Maths teacher covering all Secondary year groups at Fairfax Academy in Sutton Coldfield. Adept with the new 9-1 GCSE spec, I am offering tailored Maths tuition dependant on your child`s ability levels/potential.
All programs are based on early assessment with the view to maximise tutee progress over time.

Very friendly and approachable. My grandson said he’s “actually enjoying his maths” so that in itself is an achievement. Richard has really built his confidence and made things a lot clearer for him.

Richard has been giving my daughter lessons for a few weeks. He is a very pleasant teacher and my daughter (Year 9) is enjoying the lessons. I hope it will increase her confidence in Maths and she will improve a grade or more by the end of the academic year.

Richard is an excellent tutor. He has given my daughter the skills to take her GCSE maths exam this year with confidence. His teaching approach combines both hard work and enjoyment and I would highly recommend him.
