I can offer tuition in physics, chemistry, biology and Combined Science to Key Stages: 3 & 4, as well as Maths at Key Stages 2 & 3. In addition, I can offer Vocational Science and Health and Social Care. At Key Stage 2, I do preparation for 11+ and Common Entrance. Very often, I have students who find that, for want of a clear and simple explanation, find that there are concepts in science, which they are well able to understand, but do not `get`. My speciality is finding ways to interest and explain concepts in science with which students could identify and understand.

For both students who are struggling, and those that are aiming at the highest grades, I have a proven record of being able not only to boost a student`s fundamental understanding of the subject, but also to significantly improve their examination technique, and thus to improve their grade.

My other speciality is stretching and challenging more able students, preparing them to turn an B grade into and A, or an A into an A*.

Experience: I have thirty five years experience of teaching science and maths in London schools. I have extensive experience of SEN students, within both mainstream and special education. I also have considerable experience of giving 1-2-1 tuition in maths, science and English to KS3 students. At least half my teaching career was working with students considered to be SEN or to have other learning difficulties. At the other end of the spectrum, I have considerable experience of teaching groups, and tutoring individual students of significant ability, who went on to AS and A2 level.
