Louise

I am an experienced Business Studies teacher having taught A level most recently at Farnham College where I implemented the new Linear A level in Business Studies in 2017 (AQA). For the past few years, I have returned to tutoring in order to maximise my flexibility to enjoy other projects and family life. My previous post was a six year stint at Alton College teaching both adults and young people management and business to foundation degree and AS and A2 level respectively. I am also experienced in delivering BTEC qualifications.

My eldest children have been through secondary school and college and are now at university so I believe I am able to relate well to teenagers and young adults having experienced this age group as both mother and teacher. Obviously, I have plenty of experience working with college students and have recent experience teaching GCSE students (Weydon School in Farnham) too. As well as my business knowledge, I pride myself with my ability to build relationships with my students whom I believe I have great rapport and, as a result, help them achieve their best results and potential.

I am naturally enthusiastic about my subject, finding real work examples to apply to all topics, and hope that my energy and enthusiasm is infectious.

(I`m delighted to report my student results for 2019: two A*s, two Bs and the rest A`s at A level and my GCSE student was one point off a 9! Well done guys).
