I am an experienced History teacher of 10 years and I have recently completed a Master`s degree in History for which I was awarded a first-class grade. I am passionate about History, teaching and tutoring. I am originally from the North East but I have recently moved to North Yorkshire. My DBS is available via the Update Service and I have a number of references available should they be desired.

Availability: I can tutor weeknights and weekends, either remotely or in person.

Experience: I am a qualified History teacher with 10 years` experience; during this time time I have taught a variety of students in a number of different school, both in the UK and abroad. Most recently, before maternity leave, I was chosen to lead an intervention group for underperforming Pupil Premium students, the results of whom, over as little as 6 months, went from level 3s and 4s to levels 5s and 6s. Before this, for three consecutive years in a British international school, my students achieved a 100% pass rate both at IGCSE and IB. The percentage of IGCSE students achieving A-A* raised drastically from 27% to 54% during my position there as Second in Department. The percentage of those achieving A*-B went from 65%-90%. Prior to this post, my students achieved above national average at both GCSE and A-Level.

I have also been a private tutor for several years with Justin Craig Education, tutoring both A Level and GCSE. Overall, I have taught and tutored a range of exam syllabuses and exam boards comprising Edexcel, OCR and AQA. I have also tutored some English to Key Stage 3 students.
