Information about Bradley

I am studying a Masters Degree in Mathematics at University of Birmingham. I have recently finished my first year of a 4 year course. I am a very approachable, down to earth person who gets along with anyone. I prefer to work one-to-one as I really think this is the best possible way to explain how math works.

Mathematics came very easy to me and I really enjoy the intricacies of what the subject entails. Mathematics creates a wide spanning network through which all subjects can be linked. This is why I have such a passion for mathematics and its influences on life. The thrill of finding a problem and working through it until I find a solution drives my interest.

At Secondary School I achieved 14 GCSEs 5-A* 7-A 2-B.

Advanced Free Standing Mathematics Qualification Additional Mathematics-A

At Sixth Form I studied Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry.
AS Level, Mathematics- A, Further Mathematics- A, Chemistry- A.
A Level, Mathematics- A*, Further Mathematics- A, Chemistry- A.

Availability: I can be available most days, evenings. Can always sort something out.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I have helped friends with their GCSEs & A levels and found that I really enjoyed providing them with the necessary tools to achieve a better understanding and they have really benefited from my input. As a School Peer Mentor I had been given the chance to counsel students in lower years who may have problems or worries. Interaction and empathy skills are central to this role and are often an imperative part of social and work life. My role as Prefect gave me the opportunity to take on additional responsibility within the school and demonstrate my ability to be an effective role model.
I have eagerly participated in the UK Maths Challenge papers which allowed me to view problems in a different, more logical manner. NRICH has helped me to use A level knowledge to answer challenging and exhilarating problems like those based on geometry and measure. I have also taken part in the Cambridge HE+ programme studying mathematics beyond A level.
