Information about Hannah
I am a third year undergraduate at the University of Bath studying for an MEng in Mechanical Engineering. I am enjoying the course and achieved excellent grades in Maths, Physics and Chemistry at A level and Further Maths AS level. I have a passion for Maths and Science, and I enjoy finding creative ways to explain it to people so that they can see the beauty in it.
I believe the closest you can ever be to being `bad at Maths` is believing that you are bad at Maths. If someone takes the time to explain properly, anyone can understand this beautiful and incredibly useful subject. I have always enjoyed working with children, and I am excited to have the opportunity to inspire the next generation of Scientists and Mathematicians. Alternatively, if you need a Maths qualification to pursue the next step in your education/career, such as a teaching certificate, I`d be happy to help.
Availability: {Note! I am currently on a 12 month placement in Liverpool, so unfortunately I will not be available until next academic year.} On starting back at University in early October, I will be available in the evenings, wednesday afternoons and possibly weekends.
Willing to travel: 2 miles
Experience: I enjoyed helping younger siblings and classmates during my school years, and tutored a friend in the year below for her Maths GCSE to help her improve her grade enough to get into her chosen college.
Building on this, I picked up tutoring as a part time job during my first two years at Bath. I found it a really rewarding experience and I look forward to continuing with it when I return from placement as a Design Engineer.
