Hi, I’m Katie, a qualified primary teacher specialising in early years and Key Stage 1. I support children preparing for 4+ and 7+ assessments, with a particular focus on phonics, reading, and building strong foundations in maths.

My sessions are engaging, active, and tailored to each child, using games, movement, and real-life contexts to make learning meaningful and enjoyable. I prioritise confidence as much as academic progress, helping children feel capable, motivated, and proud of their learning.

With experience teaching in leading schools, I understand how to support children to meet high expectations while keeping learning positive and personalised. My goal is to help every child develop the skills, independence, and self-belief they need to succeed, both in exams and beyond.

Experience: I am a qualified primary teacher with over 10 years’ experience and a Master’s degree in Education. I currently teach at a leading independent school in London, working with children across the early years and Key Stage 1.

I have also taught in top international schools across Asia, where I developed strong expertise in supporting second language learners and adapting teaching to suit a wide range of needs and backgrounds.

Throughout my career, I have helped children make clear, measurable progress in reading, writing, and maths, while building their confidence and enjoyment of learning. I work closely with families to ensure consistency between home and school, supporting long-term success rather than short-term gains.

I have a strong understanding of school assessments and entrance requirements, including 4+ and 7+, and use this to prepare children effectively while keeping learning engaging and age-appropriate.
