I am currently studying a PhD in Chemistry, alongside tutoring GCSE and A-level Chemistry and Mathematics. My academic path has given me a deep understanding of core chemical principles, as well as how they connect across topics and exam specifications. I aim to help students move beyond memorisation to genuinely understand why things work, which often leads to improved confidence and deeper interest. I am passionate about my subject and enjoy passing on this enthusiasm and drive to the students I teach.
I have ongoing links with Leicester University and can offer advice and support to prepare students for university life. I can provide guidance with my students UCAS applications, covering letters, interview skills and CV writing.

Availability: Monday-Friday after 4pm. Weekends 9am-5pm.

Experience: I started tutoring 2 years ago, initially just family friends but gradually expanding through word of mouth. I am experienced in Edexel and AQA Maths and Chemistry, which transfers well to OCR too.
I deliver my lessons with the intention of being able to apply everything taught in the real world; using real world examples and maintaining strong use case for all material. I find this approach keeps the student interested and engaged, often finding they have a newfound interest in the subject once they are made aware of the many possibilities. My lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s ability and goals, whether that is improving grades, preparing for exams, or building confidence in the subject.
