Hi there!

I am pleased to support students who are taking an important step toward improving their confidence and performance in Maths and Physics!

I am a patient and passionate tutor and fully qualified teacher with extensive experience working with GCSE and A Level students, particularly those aged 16–19. I had worked both in schools and privately, supporting learners with different abilities and learning styles, and helping them make consistent progress toward their academic goals.

I previously worked at a secondary and sixth form school in London, where I taught KS5 Maths and Physics and also delivered GCSE Maths and Physics lessons. Before this, I worked as a Maths TA at the same school, holding a full-time role focused on supporting GCSE and A Level students in preparation for their summer exams. These roles allowed me to gain a strong understanding of classroom teaching, exam expectations, and effective revision strategies.

My private tutoring experience began in March 2020. Over the following years, I worked with more than 40 students and their families, delivering almost 1000 lessons, many of which were long-term tutoring arrangements. I taught both online and in person, developing a flexible and effective online teaching approach during the lockdown period, when all lessons moved online. This experience helped me adapt lesson delivery, assessment, and feedback to ensure students continued to progress confidently in a virtual setting.

My teaching style is structured, clear, and student-focused. Lessons are carefully planned around the individual needs of each student and typically included clear explanations, guided practice, and exam-style questions. I place strong emphasis on building confidence, strengthening core understanding, and developing effective exam technique. I aim to make lessons engaging and accessible, encouraging students to ask questions and approach Maths and Physics with confidence rather than anxiety.

I have strong knowledge of the GCSE and A Level Maths and Physics curricula and I am familiar with major UK exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, and OCR. I regularly support students with exam preparation, revision planning, and targeted practice based on syllabus requirements and mark schemes.

For the past three years, I worked exclusively as a tutor, delivering online lessons with a focus on A Level Maths and Physics. Alongside tutoring, I continued my professional development by pursuing a Master’s degree in Mathematics with the Open University.
