Rufus recently received a first class degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Exeter College, University of Oxford and is now studying for an MSc in Economic History at the London School of Economics.
In 2019, after distinguished preliminary examination results, he became a Waugh scholar and was awarded the Fitzgerald prize for academic achievement. Exeter College again recognised his work in 2020 by awarding him the Walter Higgs Prize.
Having achieved three A* and one A at A level, in Maths, Economics, Physics and Politics respectively, Rufus spent a ski season qualifying and instructing in the Austrian alps.
A keen rugby player, Rufus was awarded two full blues in the 2020 and 2021 Rugby League Varsity matches, captaining the side in the latter.
