I am a 46 year old private music teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience and who hails from the small town Berwick Upon Tweed on the North East coast of England. Music has for me been a lifelong passion. I started playing at a young age, becoming a fellow of the Victoria College of music in London for classical guitar playing in 2001 and a graduate in 2015 of the Open university with a BA(Hons) first in humanities with music and history. I teach to a very high standard on a wide range of instruments, including the guitar (classical, electric, acoustic), banjo, mandolin, ukulele and bass guitar, as well as music theory for the casual learner, GCSE or A-level/Scottish higher syllabus.

My approach is to provide a fun, friendly and relaxed environment for teaching that will both support and motivate the student in their musical journey. For this I utilise a wide range of teaching materials and multimedia outlets, such as apps, CD’;s, books, etc to maximise the learning potential of the student. I have a 100% pass rate for pupils taking practical and music theory exams. The first lesson is a free introduction. Tuition is provided either 1-1 in the Berwick area or online via internet/Skype lessons
