I always endeavour to employ a tutoring style which I believe best meets the student directly at their point of need. The idea of utilizing a `one-size-fits-all` method in my opinion does not produce the best results and frankly therefore is not a technique I care to use.
I always set clear goals and targets with my pupils, followed by outlining the strategies which I believe will help us to achieve the intended goal.
I`m so passionate about learning that I volunteered as a tutor for Generating Genius, teaching underprivileged 6th form students STEM subjects.
I had great success teaching AS biology to one particular pupil, who went on to achieve fantastic results.
I believe that students learn best when seemingly daunting concepts are broken down into smaller, bite sized chunks which are easy to digest and simple to engage with. These smaller ideas can then be pieced back together to present the big picture. Skills that are gained through tuition should then be reinforced through regular testing and exam practice in order to build up the pupilâs confidence. Ultimately, the student must conquer the exam and thus much of my approach revolves around exam technique and how best to tackle the final test
