Information about Alex

Hi guys! I am Alex and I have 5 years` worth of piano teaching experience. With students from the age of 4 to 19, you can be assured that I can get you playing Mary Had A Little Lamb within 20 seconds, to Fur Elise within a year! The most difficult step to learn anything is to pluck up the courage to start doing it - but fret not, I can make this fun and easy for you!

I have a distinction in grade 8 piano, after which I also studied with a piano teacher from the Birmingham Conservatoire for two years (who`s teacher was taught by one of Liszt`s students!). I also have a distinction in grade 8 jazz saxophone.

On the other hand, I also tutor Maths (GCSE/A-Levels, where I obtained the highest scores in my school). I have had full time Maths teaching experience at a Grammar school and I have a first class Masters degree in Maths at Warwick University.

Alex is a fantastic tutor. Always very well prepared for the lesson, which is great as a student as you get the most for your time and money. He is also very flexible around what type of music you want to learn and is well rounded and skilled enough to be able to cater for that. I`m making great progress with him. Very kind and friendly. Would definitely recommend.
