Information about Brian
I am a professional, full-time Mathematics tutor. My aim is to improve students understanding of, and appreciation for, Mathematics and hence maximize their Mathematical abilities, achieve the best exam grades that they can, and provide skills that will last forever.
Availability: I am a full-time maths tutor and hence I am available weekday daytime, and weekday evenings.
Willing to travel: 12 miles
Experience: Whilst working as an IT professional I tutored my grandchildren and some of their friends in Level 3 (A Level) and Level 2 Maths qualifications (GCSE, and Functional Skills). In 2014 I decided to change career, go back to a subject that I enjoy, and to teach Mathematics full time. My range includes GCSE, A level, Functional Skills maths, 11+, and 13+.
I now have over five years experience of providing maths tuition In this time i have help students pass GCSE and A level maths exams set by the major exam boards: AQA, Edexcel and OCR. I provide face-to-face or online tuition.

Excellent tutor. Flexible, supportive and very knowledgeable. Brian took time to capture a 16 years old boy`s interest in Maths (not just simply teach a topic). Always kept the topics interesting and encouraging, and built my son`s lost self belief step by step. Within couple months, gaps in his knowledge were filled, and new, higher grade topics were successfully completed. During to the pandemic Brian carried on with online sessions, which was very welcomed in those days. Brian is a real traditional mentor and educator, not only a Maths tutor.

We have just started with Brian & already I can see a confidence in my daughters ability & what she is willing to tackle. Brian has an ability to navigate through her errors with patience, while encouraging her the whole time. We would highly recommend Brian.

Brian is very patient and calm. He explains everything clearly until it’s understood. His advice on exam technique has proved invaluable and helped our son achieve a Grade 8in his GCSE Maths. We would highly recommend.
