I am a friendly and approachable former English teacher who offers tutoring for students of Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 English, English Language and English Literature.

Availability: Evenings 4-6pm

Experience: I have a degree in English Literature and Language from King`s College London (a Russell Group University) and Qualified Teacher Status from the Institute of Education. I have taught and tutored students of varying abilities and backgrounds for over 5 years, helping them achieve their potential.
I specialise in GCSE tutoring, but can also help with English Language A Level as well as Key Stage 3.
I have worked for the past 2 years as an examiner for AQA, marking both the English Language and Literature exam papers.

My style is relaxed yet focused, I complete assessments at the beginning of my time with students and work with them systematically based on their need for improvement.

I can also work with younger children in the areas of reading, spelling, punctuation and grammar.

For students near university age, I can help with the structure and content of personal statements as well as the transition from A Level to degree level essay writing.
