I have been a successful English and English Literature for over 20 years, teaching up to and including A Level, and all through the ability range. I have taught in all boys` schools, all girls` schools and mixed schools. I have been a Head of Department and also held several other positions in schools throughout my career

Availability: Various times on Monday to Thursdays and Saturday morning 10-12.

I have taught all secondary classes from Y7 to A Level and I have taught several different exam boards.
I have an excellent knowledge of the subject and what the exams boards are looking for in students` answers. I like to engage my students through different activities and a busy pace so that they remain motivated. I am always friendly and encouraging, believing strongly in praise. I have taught several different syllabi including AQA, OCR and Edexcel including iGCSE. I set and mark homework when required and am always happy to liaise closely with parents, giving frequent feedback. Overall, I have many years` experience and knowledge of the syllabi and the curriculum which will undoubtedly help your child.
