I have nearly five years experience offering one-on-one tuition, and am able to work with both children and adult learners in a tailored and supportive way.

I have a BA from Oxford University in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, and am currently pursuing an MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling in London.

Working with children:

I teach maths and literacy to children aged eight to sixteen (Key Stage 2 to GCSE), as well as Latin and Spanish at lower secondary level.

I work in a friendly and motivating way. I`m committed to developing confidence, enthusiasm, learner autonomy, and curiosity – the traits that help kids succeed throughout their academic career.

I know that a lot of children think they can’t do maths or that it’s boring. I aim to provide a friendly, supportive, and motivating learning environment, in which children can build confidence in core skills, and take risks to develop problem-solving abilities.

I adapt my lessons to the child’s needs - whether they are struggling to keep up in class, lacking confidence, approaching exams, or needing to be stretched. Each kid’s progress matters to me and I’m happy to offer the flexibility and creativity their learning needs.

Adult learners:

I also offer tailored tutorials in essay writing, philosophy, and politics for adult learners looking to return to further education or pursue personal interests.

Professional service

I work with a number of tutoring agencies based in Greater and West London, and have been checked with the government’s Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS – previously known as CRB) before registering at each, so you can expect a professional and trustworthy service.

Location

I’m based in Stratford, so am ideally located to tutor at homes across East London.
