My name is Tanja. I have been teaching Art for more than 18 years!
I am a practising artist, I do take part in exhibitions and sell my art online and in the galleries.
I love teaching. Teaching is fun! My aim is to encourage students to explore their creativity, to develop technical skills, as also to introduce them to variety of broad spectrum of materials and mediums.

I believe that the comprehensive skills that I have gained during my artist career such as working with oil, acrylic, watercolour painting, monotype printing, charcoal, ink and clay, could be very beneficial within the role of an art teacher. Availability: I work different hours, so can find time suitable for student, during mornings and evening.

Experience: I am a graduate of St.Petersburg Roerich Art College and Russian State Institute of Performing Arts. I studied classical arts and have trained as an artist and director.
As being an experimental artist tempting to use and combine different materials I try to empowering pupils to make their own creative choices and to build their individual artistic personalties with a specific style.
My experience includes few years work as a graphic and web designer, studying fashion design on a course, working in a magazine and on radio production.
All that was very beneficial and gave me confidence to dive to most of the fields quiet freely when it is necessary to help students.
My practise during private lessons include teaching Classical Arts practices such as life drawing, composition, perspective, painting (using water colour, oil paint, pencil, charcoal drawing and pastel), elementary sculpturing, crafts and design as well as the introduction to History of Arts – in both languages English and Russian. Teaching adults is as interesting as children as well. My students included Fashion Design in St.Martins and Architectures in South Bank University.
At the moment I do work at Queensbridge Primary school, and was working in a few different schools before, including two Russian Saturday schools `Dar" Educational Centre and `Gymnasium N 1`, where my duties included teaching art to 3-14 tears old.
