I am an experienced and fully qualified secondary teacher, specialising in German at all levels, but can also offer EFL tuition.

With my extensive experience and patient and empathetic approach, I am confident that, whatever your reasons are for wishing to take up German tuition, to concentrate on your conversational skills for business or leisure purposes, to have the foundations of the language, i.e. essential grammar structures explained in a logical, straightforward, easy-to-understand manner, or perhaps your child would simply like to achieve a higher GCSE/A level grade than has been predicted, then I will be able to help you reach that goal.

Availability: Fairly flexible, though Thursday, Friday and Saturday offer the best possibilities.

NB The charges quoted are for lessons conducted in my home.

Experience: Following my return to the UK from Munich in the mid-90s where I had worked for 12 years in the business sector, I began teaching business German/adult conversation classes, and for 20 years I have been teaching at a number of well-known companies,including BMW, Volvo, Bosch and Jaguar Land Rover, as well as offering private tuition.

From 2009-2018 I taught GCSE German at a local grammar school (where my students achieved 100% grade A-A*), and I am currently teaching a German IGCSE course at an independent school, having taught A level here from 2013-2018. Testimonials from my students are available on request.
