Information about David

I am a student at Imperial College London in a period of transitional study. Over the course of my academic career, I have achieved highly and wish to encourage other students to succeed similarly. I am the recipient of numerous CCEA awards, as well as an all-Ireland scholarship and British Education Award for my academic accomplishments. I managed to achieve full UMS in the vast majority of my examinations at GCSE, AS and A2 level. Having obtained these qualifications so recently, I have a comprehensive and unique understanding of what it takes to succeed from a student perspective.

An approach tailored to the individual is what I aim to provide. I will endeavour to complement the student`s preferred method of working to bring them methodically to an exam-confident level. I hope to supplement learning completed in class by focusing primarily on understanding of content before moving on with various written and oral exercises. I also wish to provide students with a thorough understanding of exam technique so they feel prepared to tackle unusual or unfamiliar questions.

Availability: I am free mornings, afternoons and evenings during the week, with some flexibility at the weekend.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: As part of my duties as head prefect, I was responsible for the homework club where I gained valuable experience helping younger students across a broad range of disciplines.
I am also a longtime volunteer, working both within my own parish youth groups as well as for the Alzheimer`s Society. These roles have allowed me to develop patience and flexibility in my communication and teaching.
I have helped many fellow students in an informal capacity during my tenure at school and their response has always been very positive.
