Information about Bernadette
A qualified and experienced English teacher having taught KS3, 11+, GCSE and adult learner since 2012 and on-line tutoring since 2020. I tailor every lesson to the student`s needs and preferred learning style, making their lessons highly effective - helping students to achieve results whilst nurturing a passion for the subject.
Be it a single lesson or a series of lessons - development and progression of grades will occur. I always suggest additional study tasks, practical exam tips and exam styled questions with each lesson.
Topics at KS3 and GCSE: Shakespeare, poetry, prose analysis, creative writing and 19th Century literature. Punctuation, spelling, reading skills and the basics of writing English.
A traditionally published author since 2017, I also teach creative writing to adults of all abilities - from complete beginners to polishing a submission. Monthly mentoring sessions are available for aspiring writers.
Availability: Last minute revision session available on Monday, 11th May at 7pm & Monday, 18th May at 7pm.
Summer 2026! I`m offering on-line tutoring hours on Monday day-time during the six weeks holidays 2026. Any Year 10 pupils wishing to make contact please enquire.
For life coaching - monthly sessions are the most productive, enabling progress to occur between each session. Honest discussions, thoughtful prompts and goal setting helps individuals to find their true path in life!
