Information about Carol
I am a fully qualified French and German teacher and I have over 23 years of experience teaching in schools. I also teach EFL and Primary English to all ages and have many years of experience in tutoring these subjects. I am an examiner for German GCSE exams and KS2 English SATs papers, both Reading and SPAG.
Since 2020, I have been tutoring full-time and I consider myself very fortunate to be able work one to one with learners and work with them to achieve their learning goals. I attend training to ensure I am always up-to-date with any changes and due to regular training for exam marking I have a very thorough understanding of exam requirements.
I have also worked with many adult learners and I very much enjoy building positive working relationships and ensuring excellent progress.
My lessons are fun and motivational and I work hard to ensure learners get the most out of their lessons. I have an exceptional track record in teaching and how much progress the learners make. Each lesson is tailored to suit your exact needs and goals so that you get the outcome you`re looking for.

Availability: I work 5 days a week from Monday to Friday so please get in touch and I`ll be able to discuss and arrange a time with you. If you`re looking for more intensive support rather than ongoing weekly lessons, that is not a problem at all, I am happy to do block bookings during holiday times if intensive shorter-term lessons are what you are looking for.

23 years of teaching French, German and EFL- mostly German- in Secondary Schools.
14 years of tutoring French, German, EFL and Primary English to all ages.
4 years experience of teaching in Primary Schools- French mainly but all subjects covered.
3 years experience of teaching general grammar and literacy to Primary School aged children.
7 years of marking German GCSE exam papers for writing.
5 years of marking KS2 Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling SAT papers.

My daughter has been taking German lessons with Carol for the past few months, and the experience has been excellent. Carol provides a wide range of materials, and her teaching style is clear, structured, and highly effective. She makes full use of every minute, making each one-hour lesson feel as productive as several lessons at school. Carol quickly identifies areas where my daughter needs improvement and focuses on strengthening those skills. My daughter feels she learns a great deal in every session and genuinely enjoys the lessons. We have already seen a noticeable improvement in her German, which has been very encouraging.
