I am a fully qualified maths teacher, offering personalised and effective tutoring for maths GCSE. I have over ten years of experience in secondary and further education and can provide an up-to-date DBS certificate.
I love the challenge of teaching maths and get great pleasure from making a difficult subject comprehensible. I always plan my lessons to suit individual learning needs and styles and use a variety of different teaching methods. I work well with students who lack confidence and struggle with traditional teaching methods.
MY aim as a teacher is to develop confidence and fluidity with number, whilst developing and improving problem solving skills, always with a view to achieving the required grade.
I have an in depth understanding of the current GCSE curriculum.

Availability: I am available Monday to Friday and Saturday morning.

Experience: I have been teaching maths for over ten years and in that period have gained extensive experience teaching GCSE maths. I have worked at two secondary schools, Hove Park in Brighton and The Littlehampton Academy in West Sussex, where I taught key stages three and four. I have also worked at Northbrook Met Further Education College, where I taught 16-18 year olds and adults. I have also worked with young people not in training or education and people with refugee status.
