Information about Nathaniel
I am a freelance composer/pianist and dedicated teacher based in and around Lichfield teaching composition and piano in a wide range of styles. I have trained in both classical and jazz piano/composition at the Purcell School of Music and Kings College London and worked as a director of music and as a piano teacher at SHSA in London.
My musical experiences have included: winning both the BBC Young Composer of the Year award and the Philip Bates Performance prize; performing and watching my pieces being performed in venues including BBC Elstree Studios, Conway Hall, the Adrian Boult Hall, the Charles Saatchi Gallery and the Royal College of Music; organising and running a modern music society at my university.
I have taught pupils from many backgrounds and varying starting abilities, preferring to tailor lessons to the music my students prefer (although learning the basics of many styles is often tremendously helpful!!). I teach on weekdays and weekends and am also happy to teach during half term breaks and school holidays as my students require. I am a patient and friendly teacher and I hope I will see you in a lesson soon.
Availability: Weekdays and weekends until 8pm.
Willing to travel: 15 miles
