Information about Keith
I am 44 years of age and am originally from Swansea in South Wales. I have taught in Swansea, Cardiff, Bath and now London. As well as being a History and Politics teacher, I have also been a Head of Year and and now an Assistant Headteacher (maternity cover) at an independent school in south London. My desire in every aspect of my teaching, is that every child in my care reaches their potential in whatever way possible. This indeed, is the very reason why I became a teacher. Having been inspired by my own teachers at school, I want to inspire and encourage all young people to aim high and to continually challenge themselves in their lives, never settling for second-best. I am a passionate, committed and highly professional individual. There is no greater privilege than contributing to the future of our society by nurturing the next generation. I pride myself on ensuring that all work in which I am involved or directly responsible for, is completed successfully, as much as it is my power to do so. In whatever job I have undertaken in my life, colleagues have always spoken of me with respect and with good regard to my professionalism.
Availability: I am usually available from Tuesday to Friday nights and some weekend when I am not working at school. I sometimes work one Saturday or Sunday a month. I am happy to negotiate to find the most convenient time which suits us both.
Willing to travel: 20 miles
Experience: I have been a History teacher for 21 years and have taught in the state sector for 20 years, before moving to the independent sector two years ago. I have taught History (and Politics) for the whole of my teaching career, at both GCSE and A-level. I am currently an Assistant Headteacher and History teacher at a private school in South London. I am familiar with all of the British examination boards and have been an examiner for a leading board. My lessons are judged very good or excellent and I provide the highest standards of teaching and tutoring. I am especially adept at helping students who may be struggling to access the curriculum, those who are on the borderline of passing examinations or those who seek to attain A or A* grades at A-level and Grade 9 at GCSE. Whatever is the reason for you wishing to have a tutor, I can meet that need.

Managed to get Keith for a few history lessons just before my sons GCSE exams to instill some confidence ,after being let down by his current History Tutor who I am afraid couldnt care less about his students and was only interested in his wallet . Keith was fantastic , and only wish we could have had him from the start .

An excellent tutor. Thoroughly recommended. He really helped my son at the crucial time of A-levels. He honestly went above and beyond.

Keith responded quickly and after a quick email exchange about the problems my son was facing. He started the following week. Keith is very patient and well prepared for each session. Really pleased with the progress being made.

Keith is excellent. My daughter is doing so well and has far more confidence in History.
