Hi I`m Carolina - I`m an enthusiastic biology PhD student based in South-West London.

In 2019 I graduated from the University of Cambridge with a First Class Masters in Systems Biology (computational modelling of biological data) and a First Class BA degree in Natural Sciences specialising in Genetics. I am now currently working towards my PhD in Synthetic Biology (a cutting-edge combination of genetic and chemical engineering) at Imperial College London.

I love explaining science and am happy to tutor students in a range of STEM subjects including: Biology at both GCSE and A Level standard; Maths at GCSE level and Chemistry at GCSE level. I would also be happy to give advice on Oxbridge applications and Personal Statements, including mock interviews.

Experience: During my time at Cambridge, I learned the attributes necessary for good teaching through the intensive supervision system and am confident in my ability to explain concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

I have also previously tutored a neighbour`s daughter for a GCSE Chemistry module (in which she received an A). At Cambridge I frequently participated in study groups which involved explaining course material to other students, where I was told that my teaching style is very clear and comprehensible.
