Information about Paul
Many private tutors teaching GCSE, and even A Level maths, are actually graduates in the sciences (eg. physics, biology) or other numerate subjects (eg. computer science or economics). I believe that a tutor should be highly qualified in the subject that they actually teach. To this end I have a first class honours degree (1988), a masters with distinction (2005) and finally a PhD (2009), all in mathematics. I have a number of research papers published in several international academic journals and have been a speaker at several high profile academic conferences
** In line with modern teaching policy I have a current enhanced DBS certificate, available to view on request **
