I am a patient, qualified, experienced Primary/Secondary teacher who is able to develop both basic maths and literacy skills.

I specialise in English and Maths from Primary to GCSE and have extensive experience of working alongside home educated children, as well as children in a school setting.

A parent of a pupil recent wrote:- `Thank you for your help, you really do seem to have moved the barriers to S`s learning."

A previous pupil wrote:- " I felt Sue was a constant support throughout my time at Upper school. She was an amazing tutor, being patient, attentive, kind and understanding......she tutored me in English and Maths and I received A*s and A`s."

As well as enjoying working in mainstream schools, I have also worked as a one-to-one tutor for children and young people with medical needs in their homes. I have particularly enjoyed working in a collaborative, supportive way with the family through this work.

In addition, I have tutored students who needed to pass the `professional standards` in order to prepare for teacher training and I enjoy tutoring adults who are keen to keep learning.

In addition, I also teach music lessons. I teach the flute, clarinet and theory of music - preparing students for ABRSM exams or simply learning for pleasure. I have enjoyed a 100% exam success rate over 20 years and have recently expanded my adult tuition service in this area.

Availability: I am available daytimes and evenings
