I am an experienced secondary school teacher, based in Coventry. I have been teaching for over 20 years and have been a Head of Department and a Head of Faculty during this time. I am now a full-time classroom teacher and teach every year group in a very successful school in the south of Coventry. I mainly teach examination classes, from GCSE through to A Level, though I am also a Sixth Form mentor.

I still have the same enthusiasm for teaching now that I did when I first began. I am able to develop and maintain excellent working relationships and rapport with the students that I teach. I love being able to make a difference, and aspire to develop the life chances and opportunities of every student with whom I work. Seeing the excitement of a student as they understand something that I have taught them, is something I find immensely satisfying and motivates me every day.

Availability: I am available for in-person tuition on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings and online tuition on any weekday evening. Additional times are possible during school holidays.

Experience: I have extensive experience of teaching examination classes and have an excellent track record of results. I am an experienced Computing teacher at both GCSE and A Level, and teach the OCR syllabi for both subjects in my school.

I am used to teaching programming, with Python and Scratch. I am also experienced at teaching ICT qualifications such as Cambridge iMedia and Cambridge Technicals.

I am also an Initial Teacher Training subject mentor, meaning that I am used to working with and developing trainee teachers.

I am Google Certified Educator to Level 2 and am currently working towards my Chartered Teacher qualification through the Chartered College of Teaching.
