I’m an experienced Maths teacher and tutor with over 12 years of tutoring experience, specialising in GCSE and A-level Maths and Physics.

I have a Master`s degree in Mathematics and a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics Education. I have worked as a secondary school Maths teacher, primarily specialising in A-level Mathematics, and have undertaken specialist CPD through the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) Teaching Scholarship programme. I have also delivered A-level Maths professional development to other teachers.

I have taught students of all ages and abilities, from primary school pupils to undergraduates and adult learners. Although I tutor Maths, Physics and Chemistry from primary pupils to adult learners, the majority of my students are studying GCSE and A-level Maths or Physics.

I have a strong track record of helping students make significant progress. I have helped many students improve their results by several grades, including one GCSE Maths student who improved from a Grade 1 to a Grade 7. I have also helped students achieve the grades and skills needed to progress to competitive university courses, including Cambridge.

My aim is not simply to help students get the right answer, but to develop genuine understanding, confidence, problem-solving ability and independence. I particularly enjoy helping students who have lost confidence in a subject, as well as those aiming for the highest grades.

Outside teaching and tutoring, I work with young people as an outdoor activity instructor and volunteer as an Explorer Scout leader. These experiences have given me considerable experience motivating and supporting young people with different personalities, abilities and learning styles.

I hold an Enhanced DBS check and have current safeguarding and first-aid training. I also speak Polish.

I also support students preparing for further study, including university-level Mathematics and other mathematically demanding subjects.
