Shalom!

My name is Orsi and I offer Hebrew teaching and tutoring in central London. I have extensive experience in teaching both adults and children. As a passionate lifelong language learner I know the bits and bobs of studying a language and could aid my students to achieve their language goals.

Experience: I studied Middle Eastern Studies and Modern Hebrew Language at the University of Manchester and graduated with First Class Honours. In my first year I was awarded with the Bles Hebrew Price for my outstanding academic achievement in Hebrew Language. I also spent a year abroad at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2015-2016 where I mastered the rules of academic Hebrew language and its grammar while I had lectures in Hebrew.

Since the age of 16 I have been working with children. Between 2009-2013 I was a youth leader in Europe biggest Jewish summer camp in Szarvas, Hungary and since October 2017 I teach Hebrew in a Jewish Primary School, I lead the Cheder (Saturday and Sunday rschool) in two different synagogues in London. I successfully prepared a student in 2019 to pass her As level exam in Hebrew.

Furthermore, I also have experience in teaching adults. In Jerusalem I also taught English in Hebrew for Hebrew speakers in a JDC employment centre. I loved the friendly vibe of my classes and succeeded to establish long-lasting relationships with my students. I have been doing private classes since July 2017 in London.
