I studied BA History at the University of Cambridge and went on to complete a Masters by Research at Durham University. I have two years` experience tutoring students in History (GCSE and A-level) and English (GCSE). I am also very happy to help students with 11+ and 13+ exams, humanities-based Extended Projects and humanities Oxbridge applications.

I have a full knowledge of GCSE syllabi for History and English across all exam boards

For A-level History, it important to find a closer match between a student`s course of study and tutor specialisation. My studies have focussed on post-eighteenth century British and American history, but I am happy to work on other areas. For the June 2016 exam season, I am currently preparing students in the following broad areas:

- Tudor history, 1485-1603
- British electoral reform, 1780-1918
- The impact of war on Britain, 1850-1918
- Italian unification, 1817-1870
- Italian fascism, 1896-1943
- Germany, 1918-1963
- The Cold War, 1945-1992

I would also be happy to work with students on any of the following:

- Any area of American history, c.1608-present
- Any area of British history, c. 1700-present
- International relations, 1879-1945
- The Spanish Civil War and the rise of Franco, 1931-1975
- The Crusades, 1095-1204

I am familiar with all of the major exam boards.
