I am a qualified Primary School Teacher. I specialize in teaching Beginner Piano to children and also English for Primary School aged children. I have Grade 5 piano in performance and theory. I also compose music and have my compositions on various digital platforms, such as Spotify. I have many years of experience working with children and I thoroughly enjoy enabling children to learn new knowledge and skills.

I can help support children with various aspects of English, from Early Years to Year 4, whether that be phonic recognition in the early stages of reading or spelling, punctuation, grammar and reading comprehension for older children.

Having 1:1 support with a trusted adult can be beneficial for building a child’s confidence. They can be helped to make progress by having a more personalised programme of learning designed to meet their specific needs. Also, any gaps in their knowledge can be bridged, enabling them to participate more fully when back in the classroom.

I travel to people’s homes to give tuition or I am happy to teach children in my home.

Experience: I have worked as a classroom teacher for four years. I have also worked within a Primary School giving 1:1 reading, writing and literacy support to children of all ages for over twenty years. I have supported children within a school environment who are learning the keyboard and piano. I compose music for the piano and my music is available to listen to on digital platforms such as Spotify, YouTube and Amazon.
