I have 12 years teaching experience and 9 years experience managing a successful science department. I have also been doing private home tuition since 2010. Prior to becoming a teacher, I was a research scientist in the field of cancer immunotherapy. I believe that science education should be engaging, relevant to the student`s everyday lives and foster an appreciation of how science can benefit future generations.
Availability: Weekends - 10am - 6.00pm, Weekdays - evenings after 4.00pm
Willing to travel: 20 miles
Experience: I began teaching science full-time since 2002 and I have been head of science in an 11-16 secondary school since 2006. I also have 6 years experience of very successful 1:1 home tuition.

June is just the kind of tutor my son needs. She is very open and encouraging but also has a direct and practical teaching style. Her lessons are well structured and follow the syllabus accurately. The application she uses for the online lessons is excellent, intuitive and feature rich. Time is spent on teaching not wrestling with the technology. Most importantly, my son feels that he is making good progress and believes that his GCSE grades will improve as a result of the tutoring.
