As a Physics graduate and qualified teacher who has taught in an outstanding state school for the past four years, I have spent much time and effort developing my ability to teach, engage and understand students and the way they think. I love to learn and am fascinated with all areas of Science. I am very easy going and friendly, and I understand that not everyone approaches Science from the same point of view. I would like to help you like it as much as I do!
Hobbies and Interests:
-I am very interested in rocketry and spacecraft design, and this is reflected in a few of my hobbies for example I have built model rockets, and I am a big fan of the `Kerbal Space Program` game on PC.
-Some of my other interests are rock climbing, playing drums, squash, cycling and camping. Other hobbies include playing strategy games (computer and tabletop) and model making.
-I also subscribe to several fascinating Science Youtube channels including `Veritasium`, `Smarter Every Day` and `SciShow`.
Availability: Weds, Thurs and Sat:
8am-6:30pm any time both in term time and holidays. I am able to come in to schools to see students on free periods etc if needed.
I am quite willing to travel to tutor - if it is a long journey I can still do it but may have to add a small charge for travel time.
Please note that whilst it is technically within 15miles of me `as the crow flies`, I do not travel into Kent since the actual journey is much longer and often involves large traffic delays!
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: Four years teaching experience in an outstanding secondary school teaching Science to lower school and GCSE groups and Physics at GCSE and A-level. I was also the lead A-level Physics teacher in my School for the last three of those years.Contact this Tutor
