I graduated from the University of Durham with a degree in French, with Italian at subsidiary level. I subsequently worked as a Translator with a City Insurance Company and for a French-based charity based in London, before gaining full Qualified Teacher status 20 years ago.

Availability: Daytimes, evenings, weekends.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I have seen numerous changes in the way languages are taught during my teaching life, but am fully conversant with the latest Exam Board requirements and mark-schemes whilst retaining a clear understanding of the importance of grammar and accuracy in expressing ideas.
I have taught in Comprehensive Schools and most recently as a Teacher and Head of French in a local Grammar School, with pupils working for top grades at GCSE, AS, A2 and University entrance level, including Oxbridge.
I am fully committed to helping every student achieve his or her full potential.
