Information about Robin
I have 35 years experience teaching a variety of subjects from Maths to Drama to Swimming to students of all ages and abilities, including those with autism and/or learning disabilities.
I have a 1st class honours degree in Maths/Physics from King`s College, London and a post-16 Maths teaching qualification.
Much of my work is person-centred, exploring individual needs and interests as a route to support development. I bring this approach to tutoring Maths up to GCSE level, quickly establishing the main topics of interest and difficulty.
I am able to support students` fears and anxieties with Maths, as well as to communicate Maths content clearly and effectively.
Do get in touch if you`d like to find out more.
Thanks!
Robin

Robin has been tutoring my nephew with maths over the past few weeks and I couldnt be happier with his teaching. Hes polite, has always been on time and completed all of the session to the allocated time. During the sessions, hes patient, explains the logic in detail, breaks it down in a way my nephew can understand and then checks understanding. In-between lessons, he provides weekly progress reports, homework and a plan of topics for the next few weeks. During the course of Robins tutoring, my nephew has recovered some confidence, has improved in maths and now looks forward to maths lessons. In short, hes a great teachers and hes methodical.

Robin has been tutoring my 16 year old for his GCSE maths for the past 6 weeks and in that time he has turned my son`s knowledge around. My son finds maths very challenging but Robin has been calm, supportive and has been brilliant at explaining the curriculum. My son who never got above 20% in exams has now been achieving 60-80% in past papers. He sat his first exam last week and left feeling confident and was pleased that there were no surprises! We cannot recommend Robin highly enough.
