Information about Shria
Currently completing my PGCE from the University of Oxford. I have had a year and eight months of teaching experience in secondary schools, and tutor two students at GCSE level until schools closed last Friday. One at IGCSE and one at GCSE level. Starting to offer Tutoring online during these uncertain times! For KS2/3/4 (At special rates).
I`m a friendly and approachable tutor understanding that maths isn`t learnt in the same way by each person, but knowing that with flexibility and practice and support I can help you to make progress! In between sessions I set some work for students to try and they send me their solutions to consolidate understanding. Available at any time for questions from parents and students.
I used to be a chartered accountant but am so happy to have moved to working in education, however still have a strong understanding of finance and accountancy for students who wish to understand more about that sector!
Availability: Free during the week between 9 and 5pm- online only at this time.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I graduated from University of Leicester with a 1st class honours in Maths with Economics. During this course I completed a "Communicating maths" course, which included teaching time in a secondary school at GCSE level.
Currently I am completing my PGCE and I start work as a Newly qualified teacher in September in an Oxford secondary school.
I have experience of tutoring key stage 3 students as well.
I am also a recently qualified Chartered accountant- so have 3 years experience in audit and accounting.

Feedback For Shria (2)
Shria is always punctual and polite. She teaches in a very encouraging manner. My daughters confidence in Maths has been boosted from these extra support lessons and I would highly recommend Shria as a tutor.
Syria was very knowledgeable and explained the subject at the correct level for my daughter, the homework she set was just right
