I am passionate about languages and want to make learning them enjoyable and rewarding. I believe that everyone has linguistic ability, it’s just a question of adapting to each learner’s different learning style. I use a range of resources to keep lessons stimulating and to facilitate learning.

I am a qualified secondary school teacher, but also have experience of teaching business German in local corporates - I lived and worked in marketing in France and Germany.

I can teach face-to-face or online. I use a variety of resources, both printed and interactive, to ensure students are stimulated and kept up-to-date with the latest trends.

Students have often told me that they never really understood grammar until they had tuition with me. I seem to have a knack of explaining it in a simple way that really makes sense, so that they are able to adapt their own sentences, rather than just learning phrases off by heart. I love it when they experience that eureka moment.

Apart from studying for exams I believe that you are never too old to learn a language – so why not brush up on your holiday conversation or start learning French or German as a hobby?

Experience: I am a qualified language teacher with over 30 years’ experience of teaching and tutoring French and German to children and adults. I have taught complete beginners through to GCSE and A level standard in schools, colleges and abroad. I have also run my own Adult Education courses. Students have always enjoyed my lessons and achieved good results.

I have lived and worked In Paris and Berlin, both as a medical sales rep and in marketing and communications. I have used my experience to deliver social and business language training to local corporates.
