I received my BSc from Damascus University in the subject of civil engineering-structural engineering in 2007. In 2008 I did my diploma in structural and earthquake engineering. In 2010, I did my master degree at Brunel University London in advanced engineering and design. In the following year, I started my PhD journey in the subject of civil engineering at Brunel University which ended in June 2016.

I have experience in finite element analysis and in particular using ABAQUS. I gain this experience from my PhD and research assistant positions.

I love teaching because I love sharing my passion for reading, writing and learning, I feel my work has a purpose, I feel of accomplishment seeing students grow in knowledge, confidence and skills and I can impact future generations by helping the students succeed and helping them believe that they are capable of the impossible.

• From 2013 to 2016, teaching Master students finite-element analysis software, ABAQUS and coding using Matlab and assess and provide feedback to my students’ coursework assignment.
• In 2014 and 2016, assisted the lecturer in AutoCAD lab sessions, for level 1 and 2 students in civil engineering.
• In 2015 and 2016, teach design of steel structures for level 3 of undergraduate civil engineering students. Moreover, I helped the module leader to assess and provide feedback for the students’ coursework.
• In 2013, teaching master students, in Advanced Engineering and Design course, ANSYS work-bench software in line with some theoretical aspects of linear and nonlinear finite-element analysis.
• In 2014 and 2015, assisted two master students from civil engineering department in their thesis.
