Information about Anisha
Hey there! My name is Anisha and I am currently a student studying post-graduate medicine. Recently, I have completed my undergraduate degree in Medical Physiology and Theraputics and the University of Nottingham.
I am a diligent and enthusiastic person. I have a passion for learning and I would love to create enjoyable, interactive lessons for students looking to advance in GCSE Maths and Biology. I`ve had 4 1/2 years of teaching experience prior, tutoring Maths and English to students ages 2-17 as well as a years experience in 1-1 Private Tutoring.
In my classes, I employ a multi-sensory teaching approach combined with active learning techniques. I utilise a variety of materials that are based on a multi-sensory approach including flashcards, PowerPoints, diagrams, games and videos. Over the years of developing my tutoring skills, I have learnt the effectiveness of the multi-sensory learning technique to elicit several senses thus assisting students to anchor the subject in long term memory. From this point I try to build on this the detail and vocabulary required for the specific exam board. I use past exam papers and their mark schemes to consolidate knowledge as well as highlight the vocabulary and phrases expected in student responses.
