Information about Wasim

I am a fourth year medical student studying at Imperial College London and am currently intercalating in Biomedical Engineering. Taking these subjects demonstrate my fluency in the sciences and maths, and I enjoy teaching and spreading my knowledge. I believe that having recently experienced GCSE`s, A Levels and University applications I am uniquely qualified to help students at this stage of their education with the hard road ahead of them. Being a medical student, I am easy to talk to, patient and friendly, with a calm and understanding manner of teaching. I am very flexible in my approach to teaching and have worked with students of all ages and abilities, making me a suitable tutor for students of varying ages and abilities.

I am extremely experienced with medical school admissions (UCAT & BMAT) and interviews. I have tutored for a private company that specialises in medical school applications for 3+ years in the past making me extremely well suited to help you get into medical school if this is one of your aspirations.

I have always found that the best way to understand a subject is to work through questions and be guided through the links between separate topics in order to see things as one big picture rather than individual names or equations to memorise. My approach to teaching is a highly interactive one, as I tailor every lesson to the student’s individual needs to ensure that we have covered what the student believes will be most helpful to them.

The best way to achieve goals that students set for themselves is to ensure they are working frequently throughout each week, which is why I set work between lessons and work hard to keep students improving at a consistent rate. I am a thorough, enthusiastic tutor who will work hard to ensure the best outcomes for my students, and I look forward to working with anyone who believes I can help them.

Experience: I have been a tutor for a private company for three years, and tutored dozens of children of all ages and abilities to help them achieve their potential. The subjects ranged across all three sciences, as well as maths, from KS3 all the way through to A-Level.
