Hi, I`m Henna!

I have a passion to share my knowledge, beit to students, colleagues or siblings and that is what motivated me to join Tutor Hunt!

Having taught at Numberworks`nWords from the age of 16-20, I built my passion from an early age. Regularly taught Maths and English to pupils of KS1 to GCSE’s to help them to develop their academic confidence in these areas; and continued to do so throughout my studies and career.

At University (University of Leicester, Financial Economics, 2:1), I actively organised study sessions whilst at work (KPMG, Audit) I was heavily involved with Graduate Learning & Development.

I now plan to turn this passion into a hobby and therefore am available/eager to help increase positivity and confidence through education during this uncertain time!

Availability: Weekdays: 6/7PM - Late (flexibility offered)

Accepted a secondment opportunity, from September – December 2019, to the Learning & Development
division within the business providing experience to several levels of training within Audit and Graduate recruitment and continue to explore this skill set.

(Volunteer)
Persistently active and developing whilst volunteering as ‘buddies’ for children and/or adults with special needs, during (for them) a summer activity school.

June 2007 – September 2011: Numberworks ‘n Words Centre
(Maths and English Tutor)
- Regularly taught Maths and English to pupils of KS1 to GCSE’s to help them to develop their academic confidence in these areas.
- Provided administrative and office support to the manager.

6 – 10 October 2008: Westbourne Primary School
(Teaching Assistant)
Worked alongside the teacher of a Year 1 class to provide assistance organising activities, supporting pupils through tasks and planning for future lessons. Developed delegation and team working skills and encouraged students with various levels of ability to improve their understanding of the subject area.
